Typography day project

We were put into groups and given a brief to create our own typeface, using polystyrene blocks . We used different techniques from burning to carving the polystyrene. But when looking around everyones ideas where somewhat the same and we didnt really want to go down the same road.

The polystyrene came in a cardboard box. So we thought we would somehow use that. After brainstorming of ideas and what we could do with the cardboard box, we came up with the idea of using the texture of polystyrene, by puncturing little holes into the box to create our typeface. We came up with the sentence of "Light is Vision". This is our result:
